Federal Transformer: automated transformer tank MIG welding-ABB IRB robot

  • Continuous MIG/ARC/TIG welding of Transformer tank.
  • Transformer Tank Size L-1405mm, w- 575mm, H-1570mm
  • Welding operation done at the rate 10mm/sec for excellent quality welding bead.

Robotic MIG/TIG/ARC welding

  • Integration of fronius welding machine with ABB IRB 6600 & IRC M2004 with torch controlled by digital output(Relay) from Robot to IRC M2004.
  • Integration of PLC controlled turning table with VFD with IRC M2004.
  • Integration of PLC with IRC M2004 for external conditions such as emergency stop of working torch when unwanted .obstructions detected by aid Sensors & also for safety purpose.

  4. Customized EOAT for Grinding of Inner & Outer surface diameter of DI Pipe
  5. Customized EOAT for Grinding application Operated with Pneumatic cylinder & PLC.

Optimization Support:-

  • support of the existing installed robots at the production line Optimize the current existing program and movement of the robot to achieve an improvement on the ppm as well as more homogenously utilize the robot over his full life span.

Health Check-up:-

  • Visually inspect robot for obvious exterior damage – Robot arm and auxiliaries.
  • Check for damage to manipulator, cables and/or connectors. Verify incoming power 400-415 VAC phase-phase and earth for Controller. Check alarm history, note most recent alarms to determine any possible recurrent problems.
  • Position Robot to the mechanical “ZERO” position.
  • Verify proper home calibration.
  • Eye-marking scale position and availability.

Health Check-up:

  • All Axes motor power and encoder connectors condition check.
  • Inspect the fans inside controller. Inspect the Programming Pendant keypad, cable, mode selector switch and connectors for deformation/damage.
  • Check SMB Battery Voltage 10.8 Vdc. Back Up the system data./Optional : Auto back up function.
  • To check abnormal sound & vibration. Vibration check for all axes. To tighten mounting bolts of manipulator and pedestal. Check All Axis for Leakages. Check working condition of shock sensor, foreign particle contamination/damage.
  • Inspect all internal wiring harnesses condition- Dust and dirt contamination. Backlash check for RT, UA and FA-axes. Cleaning and maintenance of controller and Manipulator. Check for emergency hold circuit.
  • Check tightness for Device Net Connector, Pendent Connector No loose, SMB Cable Connector No loose.
  • Auto Trials after completion of work. Creation and Submission of report.
